Heritage Human Services, Inc.

In keeping with the principles and philosophy of putting “People First,” Heritage Human Services, Inc. (H.H.S) is formed as a multicultural not-for-profit organization to conduct the charitable activities of providing services and advocacy for persons with developmental disabilities and their families, especially among the underserved minority population. It serves as a provider of direct services in the State of New York primarily within the New York City area.

Individuals and families receive support through person-centered programs that reflect each person's unique needs, strengths, and goals. Services are provided in home, community, and program settings based on the type of support being received.

Mission Statement

The mission of Heritage Human Services, Inc. is to advocate and provide services with and for persons with various kinds of Developmental Disabilities and their families by honoring, respecting, and promoting each person’s abilities, talents, and cultural heritage through education and diversity programs and services.

This mission guides how programs are planned, delivered, and adapted to each individual's needs. It also supports families by providing services that encourage participation, skill development, and community inclusion.

Vision Statement

The vision of Heritage Human Services, Inc. is to ensure that individuals with disabilities enjoy meaningful relationships with family, friends, and others; experience growth in health and in person; live in homes of their choice and participate fully within their chosen communities.

This vision continues to shape programs that encourage greater independence, community participation, and meaningful daily living. Person-centered support helps individuals pursue their goals while remaining connected to their families and communities.
